Day One: Notice of Appeal: Due 30 days after judgment or order appealed from. FRAP 4(a).
Representation Statement: Circuit Rule 3-2(b)
Civil Appeals Docketing Statement: Cir. Rule 3-4. Attach “judgments, orders, opinions, and findings of fact and conclusions of law...that will be relevant to the major issues...”
+ 7 days: Appellee may respond to appellant’s Civil Appeals Docketing Statement. Cir. Rule 3-4(a).
+ 10 days: Transcript:
(a) Appellant must order transcript. FRAP 10(b)(1)
(b) Appellant, unless ordering entire transcript, shall serve notice of portions of transcript ordered and statement of issues to be presented on appeal. Cir. Rule 10-3.1(a)
+ 10 days: Unless entire transcript is ordered, appellee may designate additional portions of transcript. Cir. Rule 10-3.1(b)
+14 days: File Cross Appeal. FRAP 4(a)(3).
+ 30 days: Appellant shall order transcript. Cir. Rule 10-3.1(d)
+ 30 days: court reporter to prepare and file transcript (but reporter may request additional time. FRAP 11(a).
